MBA CORRES AT ANNA UNIVERSITY

MBA/MCA Correspondence courses in Anna University

There are 2 schedules every year. One is Calendar year(Jan-Dec) and the other is Academic year(Jun-May).
The applications are available all round the year in the Center of Distance Education, Anna University, Chennai.
For the calendar year, the entrance exams will be held in December and for Academic year, the exams will be April or May.
The entrance exam is similar to the aptitude exams that we attend in companies. It is even more simpler. -Almost all those who appear for the entrance all selected.
There will be a counselling date announced. A letter will be sent to your address.
Candidates are required to bring Original Certificates (SSLC, HSC, Diploma and Degree Certificate) along with one set of Xerox copies when they come for admission procedure.
Based on your rank, you will be able to choose from various study centers.
You can choose your stream during counselling. It is not necessary to choose the same as you filled in application.
On the same day, you can pay the fee and collect the ID card and books.
The classes will start in Feb and October for each semesters.
There will 7 subjects for each semester and 1 project in the last semester.

Fee details as follows

At the time of Admission:
Admission Fee : 1,150
Refundable deposit : 5,000
Semester Fee : 12,500
Certificate : 550

For the rest of the semesters
Rs 12,500 per subject

Exams fees
Rs 300 per subject

Revaluation Fees
Rs 400 per subject without photocopy
Rs 700 per subject with photocopy

Admission Procedure for Anna University Distance Learning Separate Entrance Tests will be conducted for admission to MBA, MCA and M.Sc degree programmes. Candidates need to submit only one application form indicating the choice of programme(s).

Eligibility

Master of Business Administration (MBA) -
Any degree of 3 years of study duration and a pass in the entrance test conducted by Anna University.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) -
Any degree of 3 years of study duration with Mathematics at HSC or degree level and a pass in the entrance test conducted by Anna University.

Master of Science (M.Sc) -
B.Sc. Mathematics / Computer Science / Physics / Information Technology / Software Engineering/ Applied Science / Computer Technology / Applied Science - Computer Technology /Applied Science - Information Technology / Applied Science - Computer Systems Maintenance and Networking / Electronics / B.C.A. / B.E.S. or equivalent and a pass in the entrance test conducted by Anna University.

Selection and Admission Procedure
A rank list will be prepared based on the marks scored in DEET FEB 2008 and admission is based on the ranks obtained.

Syllabus for Entrance Test for MBA/MCA/Msc For Anna University Corres

Master of Business Administration (MBA) -
The question paper will be designed to test the capability of the candidates in the following areas :
Data analysis
Comprehension skill
Basic Quantitative ability
Written English test
Candidates are required to answer 100 objective type questions in 2 hours. Each Question will be followed by FOUR alternate answers. Candidate has to choose the correct answer and shade the appropriate circle against the question in the answer sheet with pencil / ball point pen (black or blue).
Evaluation Scheme
While evaluating the answers, one mark is awarded for each correct answer. No negative marks for wrong answers.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) -
The question paper will be designed to test the capability of the candidates in the following areas :
Quantitative Ability
Analytical Reasoning
Logical reasoning
Computer awareness
There may be few questions on verbal activity, basic science etc.
